Many situations lead an individual to counseling. Sometimes we're unsure how to manage stressful circumstances, a particular relationship, or a devastating loss. Other times we struggle with unhelpful thoughts and behaviors. My role as your therapist is to collaborate with you to overcome obstacles and illuminate solutions to problems. Ten years' experience in clinical social work and psychotherapy has reinforced my belief that each person has the capacity to change. However we diagnose our problems, talking about them with an objective, compassionate professional can direct us toward that change. Counseling is the key to uncovering hidden strengths, resolving ambivalence, and developing enhanced coping skills. Home visits are available on a case-by-case basis.
