People come to me for all reasons: family discord, relationship problems, struggles with depression, anxiety, abuse, and concerns for a child or teen to name a few. I work very hard at connecting with my clients and helping them on their journey of exploring self, history and patterns of behavior. I believe that through this work it is possible to form a pathway toward self discovery, create change, heal from pain and become a happier and healthier person / family. My specialties are counseling children, teens and adults, as well as couples and family therapy. Experience: childhood trauma/struggles, abuse, family conflict , communication problems and personal growth. Focus areas: Child - Family Play Therapy: Healing for the whole family. Parent(s) is/are involved in the play-therapy sessions with the child. Parenting skills sessions are offered. Adolescent Therapy: Expressive Therapy and non traditional counseling techniques Expressive Therapy - A unique approach to counseling in which I incorporate traditional client centered talk therapy with the use of creative writing, art, role playing and personification to assist individuals, couples and families develop a better understanding and awareness of themselves, their issues and trauma, and how to heal.
