According to the Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA) the chances of a person in America of experiencing clinical anxiety and/or depression in their lifetime are one in five. Approximately 40 million adults (age 18 or older) experience an anxiety disorder any given year, costing more than $42 billion a year (almost one third of the country's total $148 billion in total mental healthcare costs (The Journal of Clinical Psychiatry).
