I am uneasy with "branding", but am delighted to meet with individuals and families to help them discover their own strengths, develop relationships and overcome obstacles in their lives. I work in short and long term treatments. Some people need help in solving specific problems such as a job conflict. Others have deeper issues. Sometimes the fundamental task of a therapy is for the client and therapist to learn about the client's pain. One area of expertise for me is working with adult children of alcoholics and dysfunctional families. Healing from these childhood losses is possible, with time and dedication. Hopefully, as the client understands herself better, she becomes more able to hold and understand her own feelings within herself and with trusted loved ones. This is where the healing can begin. I will be accepting new patients beginning in June 2015.
