Hello, my name is Marisa Etting and I am a licensed clinical psychotherapist. I have extensive experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. My approach is to offer whatever combination of services best fit my client's needs. This may include individual sessions, parenting sessions, sibling sessions, family sessions, or a mixture of any of the above. I have been taking continuing education courses in Perinatal (Pregnancy & Postpartum) Mood and Anxiety Disorders for the past few years and am excited to be able to help pregnant and new mothers with the complex issues involved in entering parenthood. My approach is gentle yet direct. Therapy can be structured sessions with short term goals or unstructured sessions with open dialogue, depending on your desire. My background training is in cognitive-behavioral therapy, however, I enjoy employing a variety of techniques to help my clients on a path to wellness. My office is at the end of Blackstone Boulevard on the Providence/Pawtucket line. Please bring your insurance ID card and picture ID to your first session-you will also be asked to fill out some paperwork which will take about 10 minutes.
