You are the source of your own strength. There are times, however, when you may need help in accessing your internal power. We all need to feel a sense of belonging, connection, acceptance, and ability to make choices. When we lose touch with these parts of ourselves - whether it is our independence, sense of control, spirituality, sexuality, family connection, or ethnicity - we may experience stress, fear, anxiety, and even a loss of meaning in life. I specialize in counseling individuals and couples experiencing anxiety, depression, conflict, and grief/loss. In a safe, non-judgmental environment we build trust where you may share your thoughts, stories of hardship and trauma, fears, and other emotions. Together we explore, find your strength, and develop greater understanding of your journey. Sometimes only compassion and undivided attention are all that is necessary. Other times, more intervention is required. Learning strategies, coping skills, anxiety-reducing activities and mindfulness are helpful in relieving stress and confusion toward the goal of understanding new ways of perceiving your life, managing difficult times, and finding the motivation to accept change.
