I am a licensed professional counselor with over ten years experience providing counseling in outpatient settings in this community. I have worked with clients with a range of issues, including difficulty coping with life changes, depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, dissociation, and relationship challenges. I enjoy getting to know clients, developing an increased understanding of them; where they have been, where they are, and where they want to go. I am committed to helping clients take steps towards healing. I am trained and certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). I am a member of EMDR International Association (EMDRIA). EMDR has been used for over twenty years and is a recommended therapy for trauma and distressing events that have resulted in a change in the way a person feels about themselves or the world around them. EMDR has been used to address other issues such as anxiety, depression, procrastination, stress reduction, and sexual abuse.
