I am an independent, licensed and board certified, psychologist. Working with people in a kind and respectful manner is extremely important to me. I have extensive experience with clients from children (3 y.o. and older) through adult (including elderly). I provide a welcoming and relaxed office enviornment. I believe that working collaboritively is a very important part of the therapy process. Focusing on what is most important to you is essential. I strongly believe in an individualized approach to therapy, each persons history and concerns being unique in nature along with the approach for addressing those concerns. Specifically,in working with children, I believe strongly in involving parent(s) in the therapy process. Consulting with teachers and other involved professionals is also important to better understand the unique nature of each child. Tailoring therapy to the unique characteristics of each individual child helps to provide for a better overall therapy experience. My office is uniquely designed. In addition to a room for traditional "talk therapy" (comfortable chairs, etc.) there is also a seperate-specially decorated and supplied-area for child "play therapy".
