You can never have too many people in your life who are there to support you. Is this answer I give when someone is feeling nervous about therapy. Therapy should be what you want it to be, and should be helpful rather than stressful. My therapeutic style is molded by each individual I work with, rather than strictly adhering to a therapeutic modality. I am a social worker at heart, which means I often work to help people see what is going right rather than only focusing on what is view as going wrong. I specialize in the treatment of trauma/abuse and the treatment of PTSD, in adolescents and adults. In my practice I also treat anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and relationships conflicts in all ages. I provide individual psychotherapy, couples/ family therapy, and facilitate groups. I practice in two different settings, my office on Lake St, I see a wide range of clients, and at HOPE Works. HOPE Works is an agency in Burlington VT, which offers support services for survivors of sexual violence. At HOPE Works I specifically work with individuals who are survivors of sexual violence.
