I provide counseling services for children, youth, young adults, and families who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning, queer and/or allies (LGBTQA). I provide a warm, safe place for my clients to connect with their authentic self in a private setting. Together, we will explore your unique experiences, thoughts and feelings. At your discretion, we will develop a plan that works to best suit your needs to support your journey. My goal is to assist you in empowering yourself through balance, awareness, knowledge and various skills that enable you to gain further meaning and understanding in your life. As a current doctoral student at Idaho State University, I am pursuing my Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Counseling. Specifically, I am furthering my expertise with the LGBTQ population as a counselor, educator, advocate and consultant. I utilize a strength-based humanistic approach grounded in social justice philosophy. My areas of expertise within the LGBTQ community include depression and anxiety, identify issues, coming out, transitioning, strengthening relationships, addressing barriers and obstacles in life, increasing self-esteem and confidence, support during times of changes and loss, finding balance in life and strength within yourself.
