Well done! You have decided to take the first step. Considering therapy is very courageous. Often times amazing individuals struggle silently with painful emotions, unwanted behaviors and strained relationships. As a therapist that focuses on your strengths, I am dedicated to providing a safe, healing environment in which you can discover underlying beliefs and feelings that may hinder your growth. As you become more self-aware, insight will follow. With insight intentional change can begin. Change is experienced at your own pace. Our work will be collaborative. Your personal discoveries will be approached with respect, balance and objectivity. Then, they will be presented back to you for consideration. Optional homework may be given at times to allow you the opportunity to continue the session's momentum in between visits. As you experience my warm and validating support, you will be equipped with tools to express, recognize and solve daily challenges. Although some topics are serious in nature, I find occasional, appropriate humor to be a welcome balm to difficult situations.
