I offer a safe and open-minded environment to allow my clients to feel welcome and comfortable. I utilize a client-focused approach and strongly feel that is it imperative to focus on the client's immediate needs. I encourage my clients to be who they are and reassure them that they do not need to censor their problems, emotions and needs. I am creative and considerate when choosing my interventions and open to hearing feedback from clients. I feel that being open to feedback allows me to better assist a client by identifying their likes, dislikes and comfort level. I have seen the effectiveness of working collaboratively with my clients and their families on identifying goals and interventions for their treatment. I am therefore committed to maintaining a positive rapport throughout the treatment process, so my clients feel comfortable providing me with the necessary feedback to move towards successful completion.
