IS AGING AN ATTITUDE OR JUST A NUMBER? ARE YOU REALLY ONLY AS OLD AS YOU FEEL? SOME DAYS FEELING OLDER THAN OTHERS AND WONDERING "WHAT HAVE I DONE WITH MY LIFE?" A positive outlook can enhance the quality of life but sometimes that is just not enough. Growing older presents many challenges: physically, mentally, spiritually, emotionally and cognitively. An integrated approach to improving quality of life is our approach. With you, we can address concerns about facing loss, changing relationships, dealing with adult sons and daughters, and/or reviewing life events that have affected your current mood and emotions. Building a trusting relationship with a mental health specialist is a major step. I have many years of experience with older adults addressing mental health issues in a supportive, non-confrontational manner. In addition to providing mental health services, I also taught courses in Gerontology at Arizona State University. As an Aging Specialist, it would be a privilege to assist you with your challenges.
