I specialize in working with older children, adolescents and adults who experience depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, and trauma reactions. What sets me apart from many therapists is my diverse professional background and integrative healing approach. With nine years of experience in the mental health field (four providing therapy), I've been lucky enough to work with a wide range of diverse populations and varying treatment needs. With previous employment at a psychiatric hospital, a outpatient community mental health agency and a residential treatment facility, I have gained a extensive understanding of mental health treatment in our nation. I have spent many years studying the mind/body connection and use a treatment approach focusing on wellness, not just the traditional medical model. In my practice, clients must be willing to explore both mind and body healing as well as commit to completing homework assignments between sessions. Valuing compassion and equality for all, I welcome people from all diverse backgrounds. I have experience working with clients who struggle with their cultural, religious, gender and/or sexuality identity.
