I believe that you are the expert of your life, as a therapist my job is to listen, learn and join you in the process of achieving goals, making changes and improving health. A big part of therapy is developing trust between the therapist and the client. I believe that trust is gained through, always remembering who is the expert, promoting a safe place for growth and shared humor. I think that therapy can be fun, the process of change doesn't have to be serious or scary, it can be exciting and fun for both client and therapist. I have worked for many years with children and adolescents. I have experience with adolescent behavioral issues, mood disorders, ADHD, and suicidal and SIB issues. I have work with both young people and the whole family to help the entire system change and grow. I have experience in Crisis situations, including client's that are actively suicidal, engaging is self injurious behavior, and aggressive. I use DBT techniques and a unique ability to join clients exactly were they are at in the moment they need help the most.
