My ideal client is someone who has the courage to open their wounds to a professional stranger. If you're reading this you already have the courage to seek help. You also had the courage to survive through what is bringing you to seek help. Now you get to heal. I believe that I am most suited to work with trauma survivors and those who struggle with self harm. I am passionate about the counseling process and seeing the work clients do to heal. I hope I have the pleasure of working with you/ and your family. My main focus is trauma. I combine cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and person centered therapy. However, to be honest it is difficult describing my specialty because counselors don't do anything magical. We're there as supporters, encouragers and motivators to help you get where you want to be. My approach is unique because I am a survivor of sexual trauma and have the experience of being on the other side of counseling. Counseling can be terrifying, but it can also be a person that will walk with you in your journey to heal. I offer home therapy also.
