Hello! If you're reading this, maybe you've been having a rough time. Maybe you've been feeling anxious or depressed, beyond where that seems ok. Maybe there's a situation where your usual coping style isn't working. Perhaps you're feeling stuck in patterns of thinking, feeling, and acting that don't feel good. I believe that all of us can feel better and have more satisfying lives, no matter how difficult our circumstances may be. I have been privileged to witness extraordinary healing and growth in many of my clients. I work with adults on anxiety and anxiety disorders, PTSD/trauma issues, depression, loss and grief, mood disorders, co-occurring disorders, stressful life transitions, and also with emotional distress due to environmental sensitivities and career/work-related stress. I am comfortable with cognitive-behavioral, emotion-focused, and mind-body modalities. I believe it is the therapeutic relationship between my clients and me that promotes healing and growth, as much as the right approach, and that both compassion and humor are important for therapy to work. I've worked with a broad range of helping/ healing modalities for over 28 years.
