Compassion for those who are struggling emotionally and a strong belief in the resiliency of the body/mind are the basic tenants that inform my practice. We all have innate abilities to cultivate mental wellness; no matter what we have experienced, the capacity to heal lives within us. My priority is to develop a safe and empowering partnership with clients in order to help them clarify their mental health goals, move through the process of achieving them and live a more joyful and meaningful life. I hold a certificate in "Traumatic Stress Studies" from the Trauma Center in Boston and utilize therapeutic modalities/strategies supported by current research including EMDR, Interpersonal Neurobiology, AEDP and Somatic-Cognitive approaches. These "accelerated" forms of therapy can facilitate meaningful recovery from various types of traumatic experiences. Psychotherapy is an investment in your mental health and a partnership between client and therapist. A commitment to attending scheduled appointments is necessary for clients to get the most efficient and effective help. Appointments can be scheduled weekly or bi-monthly; any required payments are due at time of service.
