I specialize in working with adolescents, emerging adults and their families. I know these years can be exciting, but also intensely challenging. If you or your family are struggling, if you are feeling overwhelmed by trauma, change or loss, or you are unsure of your next steps, you are not alone. My strength is in building genuine relationships with my clients in order to develop new skills, tools and perspective to manage whatever challenges are present, including but not limited to, loss, trauma, anxiety and stress management, depression, trust, communication, sexuality, difficulties with school, relationships, friends or family. For 20+ years, I have served individuals, groups and families from all socioeconomic/cultural backgrounds and sexual/gender identities. I draw upon Solution-Focused, Narrative and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapies combined with mindfulness, writing, art and empowerment activities. I offer a strengths-based, positive youth development, social justice perspective. Nest Counseling is a safe, youth and family friendly environment where people can fully be themselves.
