At times it is difficult to put into words what is concerning us. Building trust and rapport is essential to a therapeutic relationship. Life has a way of handing us a tremendous amount of pain and struggle. My hope is to be supportive, advocate and be with someone as they work. Life experiences often are the best teachers . Academically I have what is needed. There is little I have not seen, heard or dealt with. I belief Self disclosure is part of a trusting, honest and real relationship Being a therapist is my dream. My "specialty" is starting where the client is. Care giver burn out is something I know a great deal about and feel it is often overlooked. Maneuvering through the system of Elderly services is difficult at best. I learned the hard way how to manage the red tape and confusion. Advocacy for the care giver is a passion I have.
