I have experience and training in helping people with a broad range of problems including depression, anxiety, family issues and trauma from abuse. I take children and adolescents as well as adults, families and couples. My preferred approach is short term therapy using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with a family systems emphasis, but I believe that each client's counseling must be individualized to meet their needs. My style is direct and goal oriented with emphasis on what the client wants to work on. I specialized in the treatment of anxiety and panic attacks in adults and children. In my experience I have found that anxiety and depression are complex problems needing both psycho therapy and often medication. I also welcome working with issues around child and adolescent behavioral issues and helping parents find new more productive ways of dealing with difficult behaviors from their children. I also have a great deal of experience in working with victims of abuse both with children and adults.
