My approach to treatment is collaborative and strengths-based. I attempt to create a safe environment for my clients in which the therapeutic alliance is valued and maintained throughout treatment. I have training and experience working with diverse client populations with a primary focus on providing treatment to children, adolescents, individuals, couples and families. Within the context of a relationship-based approach to services, I strive to offer my clients feelings of unconditional acceptance and warmth, as together we address the concerns which brought the client or family system to seek treatment. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist as well as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences from the University of Kentucky and a Master of Science in Social Work with a Specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Louisville. I assist clients as they face a variety of issues including: Depression, Anxiety, Childhood emotional/behavioral problems, Trauma, Grief and Loss, Low Self-esteem, Interpersonal relationship difficulties, Divorce/Separation and Infidelity. While drawing upon a number of evidenced-based techniques and interventions, I select treatment modalities that best meet the needs identified by my clients.
