I strive to bring warmth, intelligence and even humor to my work. While therapy is not about telling people what to do, I am always actively engaged in trying to help my clients gain insight into themselves. My goal is to help clients remove the obstacles in their way and achieve greater happiness in themselves, their relationships, their careers, and their lives as a whole. I consider it a privilege to work with my clients in the gratifying and life changing art and science of psychotherapy. I work with clients struggling with a range of issues including difficulties with self-esteem, relationships, career & work/life balance, parenting, and general life satisfaction. Many struggle with depression and/or anxiety. I have specialized training in women's health. I provide both short-term, problem-focused treatment and longer-term insight-oriented, relational psychotherapy. I earned my bachelor's and doctoral degrees from Northwestern University where I also completed my internship and fellowship. I have over twelve years of experience and I am on faculty at Northwestern University. I maintain two offices - in downtown Chicago and in Evanston. Please call or email to find out how therapy can help.
