My clients are people who want more peace, more joy, and intimate connection in their lives. People who have struggled in their lives and relationships are the people I feel called to help. Many of my clients have an abuse history, or were raised in alcoholic homes where boundaries, roles, and safety were confusing or even frightening. As a result they find themselves feeling lost, anxious, resentful, and isolated, even with the people they love most. Experiencing the safety of being deeply known and loved is their greatest longing, and my greatest joy to help them attain. I am in the process of being certified in Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (EFT), which centers on strengthening a couple's emotional bond-that experience of feeling safe, cared for, and known by the other. Helping couples work through rocky relational and parenting terrain is a particular passion of mine. I specialize in relational difficulties and life-stage/transition issues, including relational, career, and "season of life" transitions. I also help people experiencing depression, anxiety, stress, unemployment, abuse and trauma recovery, identity development and spiritual concerns. If important to the client, spiritual integration is brought into our work together.
