I am a psychotherapist, teacher, author and consultant. I wrote The Impostor Phenomenon: Overcoming the Fear that Haunts Your Success (available on Amazon.com). Often successful people have a terror that they may not know as much as others think they know and that they may 'blow it' on their next project, job, test or relationship. I work with obstacles (internal and external) that prevent clients affirming their work, their love, their dreams and their life. I work with them to discover and use internal strengths and external resources so they can have more self, work and relationship actualization. As a professor in the Psychology department at Georgia State University and a faculty member of Pineriver Training Institute and the Gestalt Institute of Georgia I helped educate and train many psychotherapists. These activities and my research on important psychological issues keep me growing and learning. You may be considering psychotherapy for your growth or struggles. I recognize this decision takes courage and that it can be hard to say I need help. If I accept a client as a good match, I work with him/her to get what they need and want in therapy.
