A truth I have learned in my own life is that the human heart cannot heal on its own. Our hearts need the presence of another. When you walk into my office, my desire is that you would feel emotionally safe, invited to be yourself, and free to be broken. I remember my first counseling session with my therapist. My first thought, "This is going to be horrible! I'm not going to tell her anything." I was wrong. I felt safe and I had someone on my side. That is my hope for all of my clients. I love to help others discover their power, their ability to fight, heal, and flourish. I want to be a battle partner as we face truth together. I am passionate for words and how they are spoken, written, and sung. Books are my old friends, and movies engage my emotions in a way that few other art forms are able.
