I am a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC), with 15 years of clinical practice experience. The primary focus of the work I have done has been with children between the ages of 3-13 years old and their families, with a focus in the use of techniques in play therapy. I address issues related to school issues, behavioral issues, emotional issues, ADHD, adoption, anxiety, divorce, depression, grief/loss, traumatic life experiences, post traumatic stress (PTSD) and general relationship issues. I provide support and guidance for parents and caregivers and work with children and families to assist in the strengthening of relationships. My training is consistent with the requirements for obtaining the credential of 'registered play therapist.' I have completed Level I training in the use of 'Theraplay.' I use techniques based on these principles in my work with children and families to strengthen relationships. I also serve adult clients across the lifespan, particularly those who have experienced difficulty with anxiety, depression, divorce and grief/loss issues.
