Working together you will learn to set goals that lead to the change you desire. I am trained to understand the whole "you" (biological,psychological,social, spiritual) living in a unique environment. I have additional training in marriage and family therapy to help you with interpersonal problems and I am licensed to treat a wide range of mental health issues. I have special interest in the change process (physical, cognitive, emotional, spiritual) that occurs as we age. I am experienced working with complicated grief. Substance abuse problems require a holistic approach--individual & family therapy; self-help groups; medication evaluations. Depression & anxiety respond to talk therapy, relaxation techniques, and medication evaluations. I adhere to the National Association of Social Workers' "Code of Ethics". I create an ethical framework around each therapeutic hour.
