I provide modern psychotherapy for teens and adults. My approach helps you think about your thinking, align your life with your values and leave behind unhelpful patterns of behavior. I draw from mindfulness based therapies, resulting in less emotional reactivity and a higher quality of life. I specialize in working with trauma recovery, teens, anxiety and depression. I bring to counseling life experience as a parent, partner, and possibly most importantly, a sense of humor. I infuse my work with the latest research on the brain, behavior and emotions. My approach to therapy is rooted in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, a mindfulness and values-based form of CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapy). It is evidence based, and works with a wide variety of issues.
