It takes courage to decide to make a change in your life. For some of us, it's a rare and precious thing. Now that you are here, I want to help you make a commitment to start moving toward a more meaningful and healthy life, today. I am a licensed psychologist & behavior therapist, living and practicing in Columbia, MO. The following are some of the interventions I have been trained to administer: Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT); Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT); Exposure Therapy; & Behavioral Activation (BA). The behavioral therapies I use are built on the assumption - and, scientific evidence - that if you want to change your life, you have to change what you are doing. For those who benefit, most of these empirically-supported interventions have been shown to be effective in 12-16 weeks.
