Evolve Teen Residential Treatment The Evolve Residential Treatment Program (RTC) is designed to support clients, 13-18 years old, struggling with mental health, addiction, and behavioral issues. At the Residential level of care, clients live on-site in our treatment homes, with 24-hour support and supervision. At Evolve, we believe in the family dynamic and therefore our homes look like homes. We maintain a setting that provides a sense of security, while simultaneously providing a nurturing environment that includes comfortable living quarters, school area, fully equipped gym, swimming pool, chef, ample grounds, basketball, tennis and/or volleyball courts, Ping-Pong, house mascot, and more. Our staff is handpicked to provide the highest caliber of care in the most compassionate and humanistic way. The clinical staff is comprised of a psychiatrist, nurses, and licensed therapists. Our counseling staff is comprised of experienced counselors, Masters-level interns, and certified recovery coaches, all of whom bring a diverse and eclectic background to bear on the treatment experience. Clinical and Equine Therapy Program The Evolve residential program features an on-site equine therapy program to support our clients through their growth. Clients work individually and as a group with our equine therapy horses and team experiencing a life changing form of therapy as part of their daily treatment. During their stay with us, clients receive regular individual, group, and family therapy, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and 12-step supports, as well as a variety of experiential therapies such as equine, surf, and art therapies. Additionally, clients engage in alternative personal exploration through music, boxing, yoga, hiking, physical fitness, gardening, meditation, sports, culinary arts, and more. In order to ensure continuity of care, Evolve works closely with the parents, schools, and referring providers. The Evolve team gathers critical data and engages in dialogue regarding problem and treatment history, strengths and deficits, and avenues for growth. From the moment a client enters our program, we are working on a transition plan, with a focus on personal growth, achievement, and stable integration into the most positive situation possible upon discharge. On-Site Education and Testing At Evolve, we know that life does not pause while you are in treatment. Therefore, we work diligently to ensure a smooth transition between levels of care. In our Residential Program clients continue their schooling with available supports such as the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) accredited curricula, education staff, state of the art computing, career and college prep, educational testing, and advocacy. Our Clinical Testing Service provides evaluations for clients struggling with neuropsychological and/or psychological difficulties that are interfering with their ability to manage demands at home, at school and/or with their peer group.The goal of the two-day evaluation is to provide recommendations to be used by parents, school, and other professionals to better understand why a client is struggling and how best to be helpful.
