Over the past several years I have enjoyed working with children, adolescents and adults. Helping people as they journey through a variety of life circumstances, has been a privilege. Parenting, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, abuse, adoptive families and behavioral problems are some areas in which I have the most experience. As a Licensed Clinicial Social Worker (LCSW), I have extensive experience working with children, adolescents and adults. I am a registered play therapist and had training/supervision in play therapy. I also have had training in attachment problems, ADHD, trauma, Autism Spectrum Disorders and Personality Disorders. Since children and adolescents have difficulty expressing themself through words, I use play therapy and sand tray with my young clients. Play helps build trust and mastery, fosters learning and acceptable behaviors, regulates emotions, reduces anxieties, prromotes creative thinking and problem-solving, encourages open communication and enhances self-esteem.
