I became a licensed psychologist so that I would be able to provide answers to the question, "What is wrong with me?". Anyone with AD/HD, bipolar disorder or any type of anxiety is apt to recognize that something is wrong but may come to believe that "It's just my personality". Usually it is not personality. And if we know the diagnosis, we can figure out what to do about it. If medication is a choice, I coordinate with your doctor who does the prescribing. Psychological evaluations usually include at least one personality test following a lengthy clinical interview. Educational evaluations may include all or part of an Intelligence test (IQ). The tests that I use depend upon what problems you are having and what I am trying to discover. I no longer see clients for counseling.
