Have you been hurt by someone or something and can't get it out of your mind? Don't stay stuck. I have helped a number of people with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder to recover and regain control in their lives. I enjoy helping individuals and families around issues of communication, depression, anxiety, school problems, and parenting. My experience is home based therapy for 5 years in urban areas in RI. I am particularly skilled in understanding cultural diversity, working with immigrants, or refugees with issues from their home country or difficulties adjusting to life in the US. I have been trained in Trauma Focused CBT and Cognitive Processing Therapy, two evidence based therapies used to help people recover from physical abuse, sexual abuse, accidents, assaults, and domestic violence. Individuals have experienced a significant amount of relief from the symptoms of anxiety and depression related to these events. Healing is possible. I have an office in Providence, but I prefer meeting in the home. If you have transportation issues, childcare issues, or problems leaving the house, I can come to your home. My practice is generally focused on Providence, Pawtucket and Central Falls.
