"Are you feeling stressed-out or overwhelmed? Does it make you feel anxious or depressed to think about managing and solving your problems on your own? Each of us experiences behaviors and feelings we cannot always explain, control, or appreciate about ourselves. Therapy provides us an opportunity to learn about our feelings, thoughts, behaviors, and develop healthier coping skills. In our work together, I will offer you strategies to enhance your life through the use of cognitive, mindfulness, and meditative techniques. Each of us holds within ourselves tremendous potential and an innate knowing of just what we need. I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 12 years of experience in supporting people facing depression, anxiety, issues around life transitions, relationships, and sexuality and gender. Therapy is a process that involves discovering and utilizing one's own strengths and abilities in order to achieve positive, lasting change. One of the best predictors of successful therapy is the relationship between client and therapist. I offer a free 20 minute phone consultation to allow us to get to know each other and ensure a good fit. I am unable to accept clients with Kaiser insurance as I am a Kaiser employee.
