I am a Board certified psychiatrist in private practice in SW Portland. My approach to treating patients is holistic, drawing from western medicine and eastern philosophy. I recieved my B.A and M.D. from Columbia University in New York City. I practice mostly psychodynamic and psychoanalytic approaches to psychotherapy, and when necessary, medication management and monitoring. I have a special interest in Jungian psychoanalysis. In addition to traditional western forms of psychotherapy and psychiatric medication management, I reference various forms of Ayurveda, yoga, and meditation to assist my patients in developing lasting, time-tested tools for continued growth, individuation, and health. Experience with the Indian chakra model of spiritual anatomy will assist in these practices. Regarding insurance, I am an 'Out of Network' provider for all insurance plans. If you are entitled to reimbursement for seeing an 'Out of Network' physician (such as with PPO type plans), then a billing receipt with appropriate diagnostic codes will be provided to you.
