I am an experienced clinician that works with children, adolescents and adults. My areas of practice focus on children, adolescents and adults who have experienced domestic violence, developmental trauma, addiction within the family, anxiety and depression; children and adolescents who are having difficulty with intense emotions and challenging behaviors. I am skilled in working with parents/caregivers who are looking to improve their relationship with their child and helping parents/caregivers who are looking to better understand and respond to their child. I believe that the most important aspect of therapy is the relationship developed between the client and counselor. I provide a warm, trusting, and non judgmental space where clients can come and make sense of whatever may be troubling them. We then collaboratively develop a holistic treatment plan. My approach utilizes humor, play and creative expression depending on the client's personality and preferences. I utilize CBT, DBT and mindfulness during the therapeutic process to increase client's coping skills and help client's to find relief.
