As a marriage and family therapist, I work comfortably with a variety of client populations: adults, couples, children, teens, and families. Having been an educator for twenty-seven years, I bring an informed and unique perspective to my work. Regardless of the age of my clients, all bring a story to therapy. My role is to guide my clients to uncover that story and help them to revise it so that they can live their lives as they choose and connect with others in a wholehearted way. In my practice, I specialize in trauma and loss and in children. I have also done extensive training in play and art therapy, which is my major modality when I work with children. In addition to my work with children, I have a special interest in working with women's issues throughout the life cycle: early adulthood, being single, marriage, parenthood, dealing with adult children, and coping with aging parents.
