I strive to support people in cultivating self-compassion and to contact the resources inside that help us stay with emotions until they're resolved. These skills contribute to improved emotional, physical and spiritual health and to improved relationships with ourselves and others. I am most effective with people who already have or want to have more body awareness, people who want to resolve deep unresolved issues and feelings; and people who have a spiritual orientation and desire for person growth. When appropriate, I combine energy and bodywork with psychotherapy for deep and lasting healing. The Internal Family Systems model of therapy is very effective in cultivating self-compassion and heal deeply held wounds so that people have more access to their True Self and more ease in their lives. I have been practicing as a psychotherapist since 1984. I am certified in EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Process Acupressure and Shake Your Soul. I am a Reiki Master. The combination of body/energy work with psychotherapy supports the exploration of emotions and eases places where energy is stuck.
