I work from the basic assumption that regardless of one's previous life experience and current situation, one can learn new ways to move in the direction of what one most values in life, e.g., intimate relationships, family, friends, career, etc. We cannot change what has happened in life. However, our past does not have to become a barrier to living a life that matters. Our work together will focus on enhancing your ability to take committed action in the service of your personal values. My speciality is working with uniformed services professionals, veterans, police officers, firefighters, emergency medical personnel and correctional officers who struggle with PTSD and other co-occurring conditions such as depression, anxiety, alcohol and substance abuse; sleep problems, traumatic brain injury, and suicide ideation.
