Life is challenging and never stays the same! Sometimes we find ourselves in tough places where we need help finding our way through. We also can find our selves stuck in old patterns that don't work anymore but don't know what else to do. I believe that the work of therapy is about finding the courage within to change the things you can change, the peace and serenity to live with what you cannot and most importantly, figuring out which is which! I believe it is my role to help you find your way through this with compassion, humor and insight. I have over 18 years of working with children, adolescents and parents around issues ranging from academic difficulties to social and emotional challenges. I also have experience working with adults around issues of anxiety, depression, parenting concerns, grief and loss as well as other life transitions and challenges. I also work as a social worker in a middle school so I am uniquely positioned to know how schools work including programs like Special Education and 504. This also keeps me in touch with the struggles and issues, particularly social media, that kids face and parents face today.
