My approach to therapy is based on the belief that all individuals have the capacity to live a fulfilling, hopeful, & meaningful life regardless of circumstances. Through the power of creating a safe and nurturing therapeutic relationship, I believe individuals can get back in touch with their inner strengths & resources leading to: greater self-awareness; deeper relationships & connection to self, family & community; less stress reactivity; fuller range of emotional expression & acceptance; improved problem solving; and an overall sense of greater well-being, contentment, & hopefulness. Speciality areas include working with individuals through major life & identity transitions; processing through grief & trauma; providing relationship and strength based DIR/Floortime therapy to children & adolescents with developmental disabilities and emotional challenges; parenting issues; sibling issues; exploring meaning, purpose, and enhanced well-being through acceptance, mindfulness, & nurturing relationships.
