I believe that the ideal healing environment is one where you feel safe, respected, supported and valued. I work very hard to create this kind of space, especially as we are first getting to know each other. I also believe firmly that you are the expert on your own life. It may be hard to see now, but change and growth are possible. Regardless of the reason(s) that bring you to therapy, I feel it is vital to treat you as a whole and complete person and not to solely focus on symptoms. I have experience helping people deal with depression, trauma, substance abuse and concerns specific to the LGBTQ community. I have a wide variety of experience with a diverse array of populations. These experiences have taught me that we have much more in common than we sometimes are willing to admit. I bring this sense of humanity and interconnectedness into my work with others.
