As a social worker in private practice for the past thirty one years and graduate of the Smith School of Social Work, I am currently practicing in North Kingstown. I treat a wide range of individuals and couples from adolescence to elderly who present with a variety of issues, among them *eating disorders and wellness issues *depression and anxiety *sexual abuse and trauma *bereavement and divorce My main modalities of treatment are therapeutic writing, psychodynamic and eclectic psychotherapies, psycho-education, and EMDR. Some of the insurance companies with which I currently participate are Blue Cross (including Blue Chip), United, URI, Coventry Health,Tufts and Consolidated Health. I believe that the answers to questions that people wrestle with who come to me reside already inside them. My job as a therapist is to assist people in discovering those answers by helping them resolve conflicts that get in their way.
