I am not a conventional therapist; I don't diagnose you with a "disorder" or give you a label. I believe that the vast majority of problems stem from feelings of disconnection and the inability to effectively and responsibly manage our lives. As a clinician I've worked with children, teens and adults with emotional and behavioral challenges and a Master's degree in Holistic Counseling and advanced certification in Expressive Arts Therapy, Choice Theory and Reality Therapy has encouraged me to look at things from a more creative, non-traditional, non-clinical perspective, resulting in lasting and meaningful solutions. Holistic Counseling is an alternative form of psychotherapy that uses a variety of counseling approaches, focusing on the whole person and their relationship to the world around them. Solutions need to address the reality of a client's life so collaborative, creative thinking is essential to the process. I worked for many years in business and the arts before becoming a counselor and bring a wealth of (sometimes challenging!) life experiences to my practice. I love that I continue to learn from my clients as I support them in creating happier, healthier lives.
