I have a long history of expertise in the care of individuals living with trauma involved chronic psychiatric and medical illnesses. Since graduating nursing school in 1981, I have maintained a keen interest in recovery from trauma and its effects on psychological and physical conditions Since serving the homeless and recently incarcerated severely mentally ill individuals, I have become an outspoken advocate for systematic changes in the delivery of behavioral healthcare services to individuals diagnosed with severe and persistent disorders. The goal is to empower individuals to tap into their own capacities to understand themselves, develop and implement recovery plans!
