I am a Pastoral Psychotherapist and Certified Fellow in the American Association of Pastoral Counseling! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (in MA). I feel this background allows a combination of treating mind, body, and Spirit. My three areas of primary training are in Pastoral Counseling, Jungian Psychology, and Mind/Body Medicine. These approaches to treatment tend to be very helpful with any stress related issues, including; relationship problems, emotional disorders, chronic and acute medical problems, children and adolescents, insomnia, weight loss, grief, and many other crises. I use an approach I call Quadrant (or Core Value) Therapy with couples and families. I hold a Doctorate in Psychology and Clinical Studies. The Director of Cancer Services at Harvard Medical School wrote, "Dr. Coleman brings a warmth and compassion to the delivery of mind/body medicine, along with a great depth and breadth of knowledge of the field". Healing and wholeness through partnership is my goal! Mindfulness and Spiritually based approaches to treatment are tremendously effective in beginning a healing process. Mindfulness based interventions may be used in conjunction with psychopharmacology (medications) or other treatment modalities. Though I do not prescribe medication, I will work with your medical provider to create a team approach to healing.
