Worried about your teenager? Going through a major life transition? Coping with anxiety or depression? Or are you a middle-ager or elder worried about health issues? During my 20+ years as a licensed therapist, I have helped my clients navigate these- and similar- challenges. I know how important it is to listen with compassion, honesty and mindfulness. I apply my clinical training to help my clients identify their strengths and weaknesses, so we can work together to develop a strategy for building self-understanding and surmounting the obstacles that create unhappiness and frustration. I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches to break through the confusion and noise that impedes one's quality of life. People have more inner wisdom and resilience than they ever suspected. Effective therapy is a collaborative process that is focused on the goals we establish during counseling. I think most of my clients would agree that I bring a sense of humor and energy to our sessions, which keeps the therapeutic experience fresh and productive. Be warned: sometimes making progress requires hard work, and I've been known to dole out assignments!
