I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, and have practiced in the state of Idaho since 2001. I hold a degree in Communicative Disorders from Long Beach State, and a Masters Degree in Education from NNU. Along with my work in community mental health, I have also counseled in several schools, from the elementary to the college level. Throughout my career, I have served in faith-based counseling ministries both personally and professionally. Many of my clients are growth-focused individuals who believe, as I do, that counseling is not just for the hurting. Everyone has the potential to grow! I enjoy working with adults, adolescents, and children (10 and up). Areas of focus include adjusting to changes and life altering circumstances, grief/loss, depression, anxiety, trauma, ADD/ADHD and marriage. My approach is encouraging and practical, using interpersonal therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy as a foundation for my work with clients. I strive to make counseling a positive experience, believing that each person is uniquely created, and that change is always possible.
