I believe that life is a journey. Hopefully, we are raised in families that are able to love and nuture us enough so that we can live meaningful lives for ourselves and others; however, along the way we are marred by events and relationships. These wounds, when ignored, become emotional sores that can cause a myriad of psychological problems and keep us from enjoying life to its fullest.The good news is that you can work through your difficulties. My approach is interactive and focuses on building a caring, supportive and guiding relationshp between therapist and client. I work primarily with individuals and couples who come searching for healing from the folowing; depression, anxiety, poor self-esteem, childhood sexual abuse, grief/loss, intimacy issues, relational difficulties, life transitions. I do not believe in 'band-aid' counseling and encourage clients to develop a deep knowlege of themselves/ their behaviors. I am sensitive and affirming of the specific needs and challenges of the LGBT communty. I strive to create a safe and welcoming place to discuss the full breadth of the human experience. Since I have training in both psychology and theology, I enjoy helping people work through faith dilemmas
